Just as a reminder to anyone reading this blog, I'm in the process of posting my notes from my stay on Leech Lake last year. I was at our lake-front house from late-May to mid-November 2008. I took daily notes in a journal and am posting them now from California.
I now that's not how a blog is supposed to work, but I didn't want to sit in front of a PC every day while at the lake. Consequently, these notes were usually jotted down while I sat watching a beautiful Leech Lake sunset.

- I have a cabin on the north end of Leech Lake on Sucker Bay. I primarily fish for walleye, perch, bass and northern pike, but also enjoy hunting for muskie. I particularly enjoy hard-water angling and try to get out on the ice as much as possible.

About Leech Lake
Located in north central Minnesota, in the heart of the Chippewa National Forest, Leech Lake is approximately 112,000 acres. The lake's maximum depth is 150 feet. Average depth is 15 feet. Leech offers big water, but also many bays, narrows, and contour for fishing or anchorages.
